St. Patrick’s Day Activities for Kids

It’s another FUN FRIDAY! I am looking forward to the weekend and spending time with my family. The theme for this FUN FRIDAY is St. Patrick’s Day. With a last name like O’Boyle it’s hard not to get excited about this holiday.

This weekend we have invited a few friends over for a St. Patrick’s Day Pot Luck. I will be making Ground Turkey Shepard’s Pie and Chili which both feeds a crowd. Everyone else will bring a dish to pass and their own CHEER to celebrate.

Now if we were doing this 8 years ago it would be an adult only event but now with kids in tow we will be hosting 10 children as well. The weather is going to be crap so I had to think of some fun ways to keep the little ones busy while the adults mingle and have fun.

* Cupcake Decorating – using all natural green frosting

* St. Patrick’s Day Craft – made with split peas

* St. Patrick’s Day Edible Necklaces – using Cascadian Farm Organic Fruitful O’s Cereal

Do you see a food theme going on?

What fun things are you doing with your children this weekend? Link up your favorite kid friendly activities so others can be inspired to “think outside the box” and get creative with their kids.
