Scented Wool Dryer Balls Using Essential Oils

I’ve been wanting to make the switch from traditional dryer sheets to wool dryer balls for some time now but for one reason or another I never had. Why you might ask, well I’ll tell you. Wool dryer balls are first of all reusable unlike traditional dryer sheets…those are 1 and done. They are chemical free and can reduce drying time by 10%-25%. So lets break it down..

Wool Dryer Balls with Essential Oils

All you need to do is place 4 wool dryer balls in the dryer and as they tumble with your clothes they will keep the laundry soft and reduce drying time. Best of all they last for years! Yes, you heard me…YEARS! If you feel you will miss out on the fresh scent that dryer sheets give your clothes, no worries you can use essential oils on the balls which will make your clothes smell amazing.

All I do is put 4-5 drops of my favorite essential oil on each dryer ball. You can usually get 3-4 loads of laundry out of the dryer ball before you need to add more essential oil. Here are some of my favorite combinations that smell wonderful.

Lavender = Relaxation (perfect for bed sheets)

Lemon + Rosemary = The Spa (Great for towels)

Purification = Non Smelly Sports (Great for kids uniforms or workout clothes)

Citrus Fresh = Summer Fresh (Perfect for everyday wash)

Wondering where to purchase wool dryer balls? There are many places but I found these at Eco Nuts which also carries a line of organic laundry products. Don’t have essential oils, no problem. You can easily order essential oils online too. It’s that easy folks! Now go save money, energy and the environment by purchasing some wool dryer balls. Go do it!

Disclosure: I was given a set of Eco Nuts Wool Dryer Balls to review as always all my opinions are my own.

I love this idea. Definitely ordering these wool dry balls. I hate dryer sheet! They are such a waist.

I just bought some of these but they came in a two pack. Do I really need 4?
