REAL FOOD Weekly Menu Plan 2.7.16

Not every week works out when menu planning. You try your hardest to stay on track but life sometimes gets in the way. That happened to me this past week. I was not in the mood to cook Friday night so pizza take out happened then this weekend we had a construction going on because of a new bathroom going into our house so the dinner I planned ended up being Sushi….hey I am NOT complaining but that meant those meals I planned out didn’t happen. So those foods will be used this week in my menu plan. What do you do when your menu plan doesn’t work out as planned?

REAL FOOD Weekly Menu Plan 2.7.16

Monday: Our Meatless Monday meal will be breakfast for dinner. We loved these veggie mini quiches (minus the ham) so much I want to make them again and freeze the extras for those busy mornings when we don’t have time to cook.

Tuesday: I still have the leftover skirt steak from last week, instead of traditional cheesesteaks I found this skillet recipe that you can eat with or without buns. I need to cut down on the carbs so this recipe is calling my name.

Wednesday: We are always so busy on Wednesday evenings. I still have the canned salmon that I was going to use to make the salmon cakes.  I know I will not have enough time to make that dish so I found this Salmon Pasta Bake that looks amazing. It doesn’t take much time to prepare and I think the family will love it.

Thursday: LEFTOVER NIGHT! Mama is going out to dinner with a friends so the boys are on their own.

Friday: I froze the lefter buffalo chicken dip I made Super Bowl Sunday. I am turning it into a dinner by making Buffalo Chicken Pizzas. It’s a great way to use the leftover dip.

Saturday: Taking some sort of day trip….not quite sure where but we will be out for the day so we will be eating out.

Sunday: It’s Valentines Day so I plan on making these cute heart pancakes for breakfast. I am hoping we will order in Sushi for dinner.

So that’s my menu plan for this week…hope it’s inspired you to think outside the box when feeding your family. Just remember when you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with “life” a little organization goes a long way. Most of these meals can be prepared in less than 30 minutes and some can even be fully cooked within that time.
