Yes, I know it’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted a weekly menu plan. We were traveling for most of Thanksgiving week and last week I just couldn’t’ get out of my own way. Ever have one of those weeks? Yep, me too! More than I would care to admit. I am back on top of things (for now) and I’ve come up with a meal plan that I hope pleases every member of the family – I will not hold my breath!
REAL FOOD Weekly Menu Plan 12.8.14
Monday: It’s Meatless Monday and I have to say I’ve been slacking a bit, but I found this recipe that I remember being a big hit with the family. hopefully these Baked Tortellini will still have rave reviews.
Tuesday: Found this yummy dish on Pinterest – Sweet Garlic Chicken. The recipe calls for soda but I replaced it with a healthier version, Honest Fizz Soda Root Beer and cut the brown sugar in half. I am sure it will be just as yummy. Serving it with balsamic rice and roasted broccoli
Wednesday: We have about 60 lbs of venison meat in our freezer that I got while visiting family in Michigan. It’s all ground meat so I am going to try something new using the venison – Hamburger Stew.
Thursday: My son has a chorus concert, which means we need to have a quick dinner. I am making one of his favorites – Beans with Sausage and Kale
Friday: I am doing a O’Boy! Cooking Party that afternoon so I will not have a whole lot of time to prepare dinner. Homemade pizzas are always a big hit and easy since I have dough in the freezer, I just need to remember to take it out of the freezer that morning! LOL
Saturday: Hanging out in the city taking in the holiday sites so dinner will be out!
Sunday: Roasted chicken with vegetables – perfect for a Sunday dinner
