HAPPY NEW YEAR! I don’t know about you but I am so ready to get back into the swing of things. I love the holidays but for the last 2 weeks I’ve had my husband and kids home. We traveled, relaxed at home, did some day trips into the city and organized a bit around the house. All of those things were amazing but we fell way out of routine which means my menu planning went out the door. Because of the holidays, time off and no planning we ate out or ordered in A LOT and our diets went to crap. Can’t wait to get back into the kitchen and feed our tummies with healthy “REAL FOOD” meals.
REAL FOOD Weekly Menu Plan 1.5.15
Monday: Getting back into my Meatless Monday routine by serving up French Onion Soup with Caesar Salad.
Tuesday: Lemon Chicken with Garlic Pasta and Roasted Asparagus
Wednesday: My son has been asking for meatloaf which I think I will try using Venison instead of the traditional beef or ground turkey. Served with mashed potatoes and peas, talk about comfort food.
Thursday: My favorite night of the week…. Leftover Night – This is a perfect time to clean out the fridge and if the kids don’t want anything that is leftover they can make a PBJ sandwich and they must have fresh fruit and veggies.
Friday: I hate cooking on Friday so I dug into my freezer to see what I could find. I have Hamburger Stew in the freezer which will be perfect for a cold night. Served with rolls and Salad.
