REAL FOOD Menu Plan 9.7.15

It’s going to be a short week for us. Labor Day was a bust because we were at the shore enjoying the beach and we are home for only a few days before meeting family for a long weekend. Then, finally it’s back to normal. Our summer will come to an end and Fall will begin with school events and sports. If I am being completely honest…I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Since we will be leaving again so soon, I don’t want to purchase a bunch of new foods. This week I will be cleaning out the freezer and fridge. By doing this I will be using foods I already have on hand and I will save money in the process. Who doesn’t like to save money?

REAL FOOD Menu Plan 9.7.15

Monday: Just getting back from the shore so we ordered Take Out.

Tuesday: We are completely out of some breakfast foods so we are making “Breakfast for Dinner” Waffles with breakfast sausage and fresh fruit.

Wednesday: We have one last batch of shrimp in the freezer and grape tomatoes coming out of our ears so we are doing another Shrimp and Tomato Pasta dish – hope they like it.

Thursday: Balsamic Chicken with Tomato and Mozzarella Pasta is always a favorite of our family and it feeds a crowd which is great for the weekend.

Friday: We will be at the beach all day so we will grab something there.

Saturday: Night out on the town – WHOO HOO!

Sunday: BBQ with burgers, dogs and all the fixings

So that’s my menu plan for this week…hope it’s inspired you to think outside the box when feeding your family. Just remember when you are feeling a bit overwhelmed with “life” a little organization goes a long way. Most of these meals can be prepared in less than 30 minutes and some can even be fully cooked within that time.
