I’ve found a wonderful new thing. Well, I guess it’s not actually new but I tried Amazon Fresh for the first time this weekend. My life has never been easier. I order, pay and they deliver and the best part I don’t even need to be home for delivery. Home grocery delivery services are amazing, especially when time is flying by and you remember on Sunday night that you’ve forgotten to shop for the week. Trust me, it’s happen to me more than a few times. I’ve used other services, but the fees add up. Plus, with Amazon Fresh I can order not only groceries but other items from Amazon that I might need and those delivered at the same time. If you are one to order groceries online more than once or twice a month than this is a service you need in your life. Never. Going. Back.
Over the last week or so my husband has been leaving me hints of what type of dinners he wants. Sending me links of recipes that look good and posting recipe videos on my timeline…subtle isn’t he?! So this menu plan is designed with his wants and needs in mind. Hoping the boys approve. If not they can blame daddy.
REAL FOOD Menu Plan 1.23.17
Monday: Meatless Monday! I’m trying something new. I have grated zucchini in the freezer from this summer and I’ve been dying to try my hand at making Zucchini Meatballs. Think the kids will tell the difference? Serving with pasta and bread.
Tuesday: I have dinner plans with friends so the boys are on their own. I always try and keep some Applegate Farms chicken tenders in the freezer or tomato soup on hand for easy dinner nights when my husband has to cook.
Wednesday: I have Italian Wedding Soup in the freezer that we will have with crusty bread and salad.
Thursday: My husband posted this video on my timeline and I thought it looked amazing. Not sure how our boys will like this. I might need to adjust the recipe a bit for their taste buds but for my husband and I will keep it as is.
Friday: We have a school function so we will eat dinner out.
Saturday: DATE NIGHT! We will order pizza for the babysitter and boys.
Sunday: Finally a day with NO PLANS! It’s rare these days to have it so I’m taking advantage of the extra time I have and preparing a nice family dinner. Sunday Roast with all the fixings.
So that’s my menu plan for this week…hope it’s inspired you to think outside the box when feeding your family.
