Papaya Banana Smoothie

Papaya Banana Smoothie logoI love smoothies because you can use almost any fruit or vegetable that you have on hand to make something delicious and nutritious. I didn’t want to head out to the grocery store so I looked for ingredients I already had in the house. When bananas start to get too ripe I throw them in the freezer to use for smoothies breads that was ingredient #1 for my smoothie.  I also had a sliced Papaya in the freezer…#2. The next ingredient was a ripe avocado #3, you may think…gross an avocado in a smoothie! Let me tell you avocados have nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. I also added organic yogurt from my favorite yogurt company Stonyfield. he last ingredient was honey, it gives it a little sweetness without adding tons of sugar.
