This past summer we had not one but 2 leaks in our house. The first happened in our bathroom when our toilet leaked and the second happened when our water line leaked from the fridge. Both caused major water damage throughout all 3 floors of our house. It took months for us to find the right contractor for the job and this week construction happened.
But…we will have these lovely tiles throughout the bathroom soon.
Now that our house is in total disarray the boys and I headed for the beach to escape the dust. We couldn’t of picked a better weekend. Sunny and in the mid 70’s which is sort of abnormal for this time of year. We took full advantage of the beautiful weather and spent 2 glorious days at the beach collecting shells with friends and surfing. Yes, they even got in the water. Not me, I sat and read my book.
Speaking of books…here is new one I have for you.
I’m in the middle of reading The Rainbow Comes and Goes by Anderson Cooper and his mother Gloria Vanderbilt. As a mother myself of two boys I was intrigued by this book. This book is a heartwarming exchange between a mother and son. As Anderson Cooper’s mom celebrates her 91st birthday he realized how much he doesn’t know about her. They begin a year long conversation through letters and emails that will change their relationship as mother and son forever.
Besides having a house under construction my body decided to tell me that it had enough. I’ve been suffering from major sinus and allergy issues for about 5 days. Leaving me with little motivation to cook. I went to our local Wawa because they are known for their chicken noodle soup. They didn’t have it on the menu but did have Italian Wedding Soup. I was a bit hesitant to buy it since I wasn’t sure if the boys would like it. Well, I should of bought 3 family size containers instead of one.
They ate it so fast and asked for seconds before I was done with me. It inspired me to find a good homemade recipe for me to make, and I found this one from New Leaf Wellness that can be made in the slow cooker and even prepared ahead of time and freeze until you want to make it.
DID YOU HEAR? I’ve been shouting it from the rooftop, so you might of. I started a fun new Facebook Group called Living Organically with O’Boy! Organic. It’s a great way to meet others that are wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle. Get new recipes, sustainable living tips and DIY ideas to make your home healthier. Wanna join us?
That’s it for now, stay tuned for remodeling updates. Hoping to have a new bathroom by the end of the week.
