I have a picky eater that loves hard boiled eggs. He could eat multiple eggs daily if allowed and is always bugging me to make more once we run out. Now that he is older and feeling more comfortable in the kitchen I decided it was time for him to learn how to make easy to peel hard boiled eggs.
We make big batches and leave them in the fridge to eat just with a little salt and pepper or make into egg salad. I also love hard boiled eggs on salad to spread on a piece of toast with avocado. One thing I hate is peeling them. This is why I’ve been taught by the best (my mom) how to make easy to peel hard boiled eggs, now it’s my turn to teach my son.
How to Make Easy to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs
First, place the eggs into the pot, add a pinch of salt.
Add water until all the eggs are covered.
Bring to a boil, cover and then SHUT THE BURNER OFF but leave the pot on the stove for 12 minutes
Quickly take off and rinse and place into a ice bath to cool.
Once the eggs have cooled you can start the peeling process, which is my son’s favorite part. I think because they are so easy to peel.
