Holiday Cookie Exchange Recipes

Every year I do a Holiday Cookie Swap with a group of friends. I am always trying to find a easy but unique cookie to bring. I’ve had to make 18 dozen one year which was CRAZY – plus who in the hell wants that many cookies around during the holidays….NOT ME! This year it’s a bit more doable with only 10 dozen and that includes an extra dozen to taste during the party.

This year I called on some of my friends to give me cookie inspiration. Here are their favorites that would be perfect for any Holiday Cookie Swap. What one would you choose to bring?

I recently made these Peppermint Chocolate Chip Scones for an afternoon holiday party that I attended. Much easier to make than they look, and you can make them into rounds so the batch goes further if you wanted to make these for a cookie exchange.

Apple Butter Snickerdoodles which are a bit healthier than the traditional favorite by Princess Among Superheros

One of my all time favorite holiday cookies - The Snowball (Girl Gone Mom) or some people refer to them as Italian Wedding Cookies or Russian Tea Cookies as Look What Mom Found calls them.

Who doesn’t like Oatmeal Cookies? These would make for perfect ice cream sandwiches – YUM! by Design+Life+Kids or you can try these Oatmeal Banana Chocolate Chip cookies which would make a nice healthier treat for any kid.

These Double Chocolate Cookies are perfect for families with allergies – Dairy and Egg FREE – by Chockababy

The Joe Frogger Molasses and Rum Cookie dates back to colonial times which makes
this a traditional favorite for A Life In Balance.

A Traditional Danish favorite is the Danish Christmas Cardamom which is at the top of the
Lazy Budget Chef’s list of favorites.

If you have kids then these Chocolate Chip cookies will go like wild fire and best of all they are a bit healthier than the traditional cookie recipe thanks to Eco-Novice:Going Green Gradually

These Chocolate Sugar Cookies are Erica Voll’s favorite and by far the easiest cookies she has made.

These Sugar Cookies with Peppermint Icing is a new twist on a old favorite from Retro Housewife Goes Green.

I love making Sugar Cookie Cut Outs with my boys. These wouldn’t be a choice for a
Cookie Swap but Santa would love these!

These Oat and Toffee Grams are not exactly cookies but they make a ton and they are to DIE FOR!

If you still need inspiration check out Mindfully Frugal Mom’s 12 favorite cookies. The Chocolate Orange Truffles
and Mint Chocolate Crackles sound amazing.

Have fun in the kitchen this holiday season. If you have a cookie recipe to share please share the recipe within the comments. If you have a link I will be sure to share on Social Media.
