When I started on my organic journey one of the first things that I switched from conventional to organic was dairy. Milk first, then then yogurt. My go to brand well before children was Stonyfield. I loved that Stonyfield yogurt and milk was so available, even in my smallish midwest town.
After baby #1 arrived the ONLY yogurt we chose was YoBaby…it was a no brainer because I knew that my little guy would get the best organic yogurt out there. We continued on our Stonyfield journey with #2 and now our whole family are Stonyfield lovers. Knowing that Stonyfield is non-gmo certified organic makes all the difference, especially when you are feeding a young baby.
As a new parent you might be worried about giving your baby yogurt before the age of 1 year because it contains milk, and we all know babies cannot have milk until the age of one years old. So, yogurt is different! Yep, that’s right! The cultures in yogurt (especially organic) decrease the lactose and help break down hard to digest milk proteins. I would start with plain YoBaby and mix in fresh fruit puree. FUN FACT – YoBaby provides 25% of a baby’s daily calcium, protein and vitamin D.
My boys might have moved on from YoBaby but it’s still going strong 16 years later. That’s right…YoBaby is turning 16 this year! It’s amazing how much Stonyfield has grown throughout the years and how families can grow with them. Starting out with babies and then moving onto tots then lots of products for kids and adults. To celebrate I am throwing a YOBABY GIVEAWAY!!!
