Banana Kefir Smoothie

When you have mornings that you are running behind it’s easy to just pass by breakfast or give your children something not that healthy. When you have only a short amount of time in the morning try making a smoothie to take on the go.  I’ve used regular Kefir in the past but never raw, and I love all the benefits of it. Raw Kefir is made with REAL Kefir grain not the powder. Kefir, which means ‘feel good” in Turkish, is an ancient cultured, enzyme-rich food filled with friendly micro-organisms that help balance your “inner ecosystem” to maintain optimal health and strengthen immunity.

Raw Kefir Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

* 8 oz of Raw plain kefir

* 1/2 cup yogurt either homemade or a organic favorite – we use Stonyfield

* 2 ripe bananas ( you can even use bananas from the freezer, just defrost enough to squeeze out the banana)

* 2 Tablespoons of raw honey (place in a glass bowl and microwave for 10-15 sec. just to make it thinner & easier to mix into the smoothie)

* Cinnamon and Pumpkin Pie Spice to taste

* Ice cubes

Directions – 3 Easy Steps!

Cut bananas in to large slices and place spices and honey in container
Add the Raw Kefir and ice
Blend with a Immersion Blender
I am hope this wonderful, nutritious, and yummy breakfast is helping you have a wonderful day!
