A Day in the Life of an Essential Oiler

Anyone that reads my website, goes to one of my cooking classes or knows me IRL can tell you that I am constantly looking for ways to keep my family healthy. We’ve been eating mostly organically grown, non genetically modified foods and using non-toxic cleaning products that will keep our bodies healthy and home safe from harmful toxins for awhile now. For me, stepping into the world of Essential oils was the next step to a healthier life for me and my family. I hate using over the counter drugs. I thought…I am trying so hard to eat the right things, clean with the right products so why I am using products with harmful chemicals when sick?  Once I learned that I could literally DITCH THE DRUGSTORE by using essential oils I was more than happy to give it a try.

Mint oil

So I’ve been using Young Living Essential Oils exclusively for almost a year, and I couldn’t be happier and HEALTHIER! One of the biggest questions I get from new clients, friends and family members is “how do you use the oils daily?” I use many oils, but I do have my favorites. These are the top oils that I use on a daily basis, either on myself or family. They have become a constant in our lives, that we look forward to. I hope my journey inspires you to pick up a new oil you haven’t used, and give it a try. Trust me, you will not be disappointed.

YL Morning Oils

A Day in the Life of an Essential Oiler

Diffusing – First thing before I get my coffee is put a blend of Lemon and Rosemary in the diffuser. I find it very uplifting and helps me start my day.

Frankincense – Because I have 43 year old skin and it needs a lot of support

Slique Essence – Few drops in my water to keep things running smoothly (if you know what I mean) and supports my weight management goals.

Grapefruit – I like the way my pants fit when I put a few drops in a capsule every day.

Joy – Makes me happy, even at 5:45am

YL Afternoon

Lemon – because I love flavoring my water naturally and Lemon is so refreshing

Stress Away – This goes on when the kids get home and the complaining starts. Seriously my new BFF!

Peppermint & Pan Away – Keeps my head from exploding.

Purification – Into the Diffuser because I have 2 smelly boys, puppy, and tons of sport equipment laying around.

YL Evening

DiGize – Because ice cream doesn’t always agree with me and my digestive tract gets a bit out of whack.

Lavender – We all need a good night’s sleep…even our puppy!

Cederwood – A little on my hubby’s big toe and he is “quietly” out

Copaiba – I don’t want botox but I want my face looking tight & makes my body feel a lot younger after my long walks or runs

Sensation – Because there are nights I want romance back in my life

Thieves Cleaner – I use this many, many times throughout the day because I have a puppy and live with all boys…nuff said!

So, these are my go – to everyday oils that our family cannot live without. I am always looking for new ways to incorporate oils and oily products into my life, check out these ideas my friends Carrie from Making Lemonade, Jessica over at Eat Sleep Be and Hillary at My Scraps. We all love our oils but use them differently, because everyone is different and have different needs in their life.

Love all of these great ideas Trina! And especially appreciate how you broke it up by time of day, that’s so helpful. Can’t wait to try Lemon and Rosemary in my diffuser, what a great sounding combo!

Great article! Thank you for sharing! Just one question, how do you use your oils (neat, or dilute all of them) and where do you place certain oils you use throughout the day? Thanks!!
