As a mother of two boys I am always looking to teach them ways that they can help others. Whether it’s picking up trash in a neighbors yard, helping a friend, doing chores around the house without asking or wanting something back, or any sort of act of kindness. With our busy lives, at times, we forget to slow down and remember that we are NOT the only ones on the planet. There is more than our world.
The other morning I was watching my favorite morning show – The Today Show. They were discussing ways to give back and mentioned a social good campaign that I’ve never heard of – 100 Good Deeds. Thomas Morgan a filmmaker and father created the 100 Good Deeds Game with his family. Thomas inspired his family and then others to complete 100 good deeds – but without recognition, which is a lot harder for the today’s youth than we may think.
Thomas Morgan’s 100 good deeds game caught the eye of Mary Fisher. Together they created the 100 Good Deeds Bracelet. The motivation behind the bracelet collection is to inspire simple acts of kindness around the world. Each bracelet is a reminder to spread positive change through action.
Each bracelet is hand braided by vulnerable women worldwide using 100 glass beads. By purchasing a 100 Good Deeds bracelet you are a supporting the global movement. Each time a good deed is performed “anonymously”, move the ring one bead closer toward the IGD button until 100 good deeds are completed.
So I personally want to purchase a 100 good deeds bracelet – but I need your help in deciding which one to choose. Take a peek at all the amazing choices.
***Leave a comment below which your favorite choice and that will be the bracelet I purchase. That isn’t all – I will also pick one random person to receive the same bracelet. (make your choice by May 1st, to be in the running to receive a bracelet for yourself)
Remember you can still be fashionable while helping others!
